Wagyu Preparation
Master the art of cooking premium Wagyu beef
Essential Tips
Wagyu beef is a premium product that deserves careful preparation. Follow these tips to unlock its full potential.
01.
Bring to Room Temperature
Remove your Wagyu steak from the refrigerator 30–45 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking throughout the steak.
02.
Keep Seasoning Simple
Wagyu’s rich flavor speaks for itself. A generous pinch of coarse salt and freshly cracked black pepper is all you need.
03.
Use High Heat, Cook Fast
Sear your Wagyu in a screaming-hot cast iron skillet or on a grill. The high intramuscular fat renders quickly, creating a perfect crust in 2–3 minutes per side.
04.
Don't Overcook
Wagyu is best enjoyed medium-rare to medium. The generous marbling keeps it juicy and tender — overcooking will diminish its buttery texture.
05.
Rest Before Cutting
Let your steak rest for 5–8 minutes after cooking. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat for maximum flavor.
06.
Slice Against the Grain
For the most tender bite, always slice Wagyu against the grain. This cuts through the muscle fibers for a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
