Rafter 39 Cattle Co. is a family-owned and operated ranch located in the rolling prairies of western South Dakota. As a fourth-generation ranching family, we are dedicated to preserving the values, work ethic, and stewardship that have been passed down through generations.
Our passion for agriculture runs deep. What began as a way of life has grown into a commitment to producing exceptional cattle, premium beef, and quality genetics while honoring the traditions of the American ranching heritage.
At Rafter 39, we proudly raise Fullblood Wagyu and Registered Red Angus cattle. Through careful genetic selection, responsible animal husbandry, and attention to detail, we strive to produce cattle that excel in performance, longevity, maternal traits, and carcass quality. Our Wagyu cattle are dual registered and selected to provide outstanding marbling, exceptional beef quality, and lasting value for both commercial and seedstock producers.
The health and well-being of our cattle are at the heart of everything we do. Our animals are raised on native South Dakota pastures with access to quality forage, clean water, and attentive care throughout every stage of life. We believe that healthy cattle raised in a low-stress environment produce the highest quality beef and the strongest genetics.
